Privacy Policy

UpNote is committed to protecting the privacy of your data. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect and store when you use UpNote.

Information collection and use

If you don't sign in, your notes remain locally on your device and no information is collected by UpNote.

When you create an UpNote account to sync your notes across devices, we ask you for basic account information, such as your email address and password. Your notes will be stored on a central server so they can be synced across your other devices. If you upgrade or subscribe for UpNote Premium, we will ask you for billing information. Your information is only used for account ID and will not be shared with any third parties.

UpNote collects aggregated and anonymous user data regarding app usage. The user data we collect is used to improve the quality of our service and the performance of the application. UpNote also automatically collects the crash log so that we can improve product reliability. The information in the crash log may include information about your device, stack trace, your IP address, and other data that may be useful in debugging the issue.

Your information is protected

We are fully committed to protecting your privacy. We use the Firebase server located in the United States to store the data. This service has been certified under major privacy and security standards and fully supports the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Firebase encrypts your data in transit using HTTPS and encrypts your data at rest. For more information, you can find out at https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy.

Manage your information stored in UpNote

Your information is stored with UpNote for as long as you use our service. If you delete your content, you can move your notes to the Trash and then empty the Trash. Your note data will be deleted on the server and on all devices you've logged into.

If you delete your account, your account information and all associated data will be deleted from the server and cannot be undone. To delete your account, log into the UpNote app on any platform and go to Settings → Account → Delete Account.
